International Notarization

Ⅰ、The historical origin of international notarization：
International notarization is originated form Roman Period, they was called “Scribes”、“tabellio”，they responsible for copying, writing, and replicating at first, in access to appropriate technology and knowledge, gradually evolved into a notary public. In European, notarization was commissioned by the emperor and the Pope at first, the system of notarization in England was established by Archbishop of Canterbury who commissioned by the Pope in 13th century. Develop to 19th century come into being the formation of the current system.
1Before 1997, all of HK International Notary were commissioned by the Archbishop of Canterbury, and in accordance with the requirements of the Hague Convention for the International Notary of 1961.
After 1997, HK set examination system for international notary, whereas China is not a signatory to The Hague Convention, Hong Kong international civil work, from the continuity of diplomatic arrangement, and now the work of the Hong Kong International notary is the same with the work before 1997.
Ⅱ、As a citizen in China Mainland, If you need to put a file to get a certificate or overseas (excluding Hong Kong) investment or prove some truth, then the need for international notarization:
Between the country of the Hague Convention, only the need for the Hong Kong International notarized. If one party is not the signatory of the Hague Convention, the Embassy of the certification is required. This procedure is to submit the above-mentioned notarized documents to the Chinese embassy or consulate in overseas countries, "certification" of the official file to sign, a confirmation process known as the "Embassy of certification."
Ⅲ、What is HK International Notary:
Notaries are qualified and experienced lawyer, practicing at least 7 years. Before 1997,the notary public appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury in England. But now Hong Kong has its own notarial examination and appointment system. Since 1993, the appointment of all notaries public in Hong Kong is eligible to pass the exam to obtain. Notary public in the performance of services, are subject to "legal Practitioners Ordinance" (Chapter 159) relating to notaries public regulated by specific provisions.
Ⅳ、The mission of HK International notary :
A notary public in Hong Kong is mainly responsible for the preparation and validation of the file for use overseas. A notary public in the world is widely recognized. A notary public is to sign up on the file and stamping his personal seal, or the preparation of documents for verification. Seal has a long history in most countries are considered to be important to verify the authenticity of a document. Notary public's signature and seal of the High Court registered in Hong Kong and many foreign consulates. In addition, to further verify the signature and seal of the process, that is, "verification" process.
In addition, a notary public by the "Marriage Act" (Chapter 181) authorized to presided over marriage ceremony as celebrant.

Ⅴ、Hong Kong International notarization, notarized in accordance with different customer should provide some information:
